Singapore Polytechnic Rock Climbers

It started out with a selection comp. There were a total of 13 climbers who officially represent sprc for this comp. 8 novice men, 2 novice women and 3 in the open men category.

Before the comp, we set an aim for sprc-at least 1 medalist for novice and 1 open finalist.(not to mention names).

Now, we can proudly say that we had achieved our target ! 

Congrats to Dylan for winning novice men! As for men's open, Fahmi was placed fourth position behind the SMU climbers.
We had a total of 3 novice and 1 open climber that enter the finals. 

It was definitely a good experience for all the climbers. TEAM SPRC, WE DID WELL.

TPJC climbers will have a few sessions in our boulder gym next week.

we will have exchange climbing session in return when school reopens.

Those interested to Highwall in NP this Friday(26/11/2010) please contact me or iqbal. We will meet in the gym around 3.30pm.
Climbers should be level2 certified.

We will organise more exchange programmes with other institutions such as SMU(Highwall) and NUS(Boulder). People who want to explore more places for climbing stay tune.

Hello fellow SPRC people =)
Starting from today, CCA points will ONLY be given to "permanent SPRC members".
That means, only those who are actively participating/climbing. Be it our own Rock master, other climbing related events, daily routines(don't know what happen but yeah) and high wall attendance.
Do know that some things are different now.
One is, when you're already one of the permanent SPRC members, you'll be required to help out in any events that SPRC organise, for example, Rock Master.
It's compulsory. So if you're not willing to commit, then just don't get any CCA points.

IMPORTANT : Those who just come in the gym just to blast the music up and enjoy, don't really climb, don't contribute, you will not get any chance of getting any CCA points =) Hope you understand.

 There will be a Mini-Climb On for the Year 1s this Saturday. This is to get them to be familiar with the event. Everyone will have to attend this Wednesday to change as many tiles as possible. Friday seniors are to overnight and set routes.
